Aspire Triton Review

Introducing a fairly new sub ohm tank constructed by Aspire called the Triton. It is one of the latest sub ohm tanks by Aspire followed after the Aspire Atlantis Mega and Atlantis 2. Different in design and performance, the Triton provides users with increased experience using upgraded coils, top filling, and incredible airflow control.

With new vape mods coming out on the daily, vaping experience has greatly surged. The new Triton tank allows users to get the best out of their devices with its 316L stainless steel and Kanthal coils. Available in 0.3ohm, 0.4ohm, 1.8ohm, and 0.15ohm Ni200 coils, the Triton opens up alternatives for achieving the best vape proficiency with the selections of coils and two adjustable airflow control valves.

Coils

The redesigned of the Aspire Triton coils is the main reason for the enhance performance of the Triton. The 0.3ohm and 0.4ohm coils are made with surgical grade stainless steel tubing with nickel wire allowing more juice contact in producing heavy flavor with very dense clouds. With the 0.3coil, it worked best around 45W to 55W, and the 0.4ohm worked best around 25W to 35W. The 0.4ohm coil produces the best taste and a cooler vape compared to the 0.3coil.

As for the 1.8ohm, it was very impressive in delivering a mouth to lung hit. The 1.8ohm atomizer head uses Kanthal resistance coils. Recommended around 10-15w, the head did not take as much e-juice as the sub ohm coils and less battery consumption. The vapor production is reduced when using the 1.8ohm coil but still allow great flavoring. The 1.8 coil is recommended for those who prefer a mouth to lung hit giving the ability for this tank to be a standard mouth to lung tank versus a sub ohm tank, which will also allow the tank to work with non-sub ohm vape mods.

The Triton can use the original Aspire Atlantis coils allowing for more variety of coils to choose from. But using the new Triton coils is the real reason for assisting vapers in increase execution and fulfillment. Another new option available for the Triton is the ability for vapers to create their own builds in RBA mode by purchasing an additional part for the tank.

Airflow Control

For the airflow control on the Triton, it is based on the Aspire Atlantis 2 with dual control adjustable air flow. With top-cooling airflow, the valve is right below the wide bore drip tip and it includes another valve at the bottom of the tank, which is typically standard on most sub ohm tank. The drip tip airflow control adds additional cooling for the Triton. Adjusting the airflow provides ideal airflow level depending on preference from mouth to lung hits or straight lung hits precisely to their liking. Adjustment can easily be achieved by simply twisting the dials of the airflow control.

Top Filling

The top filling system makes filling the tank easier without having to unscrew the bottom portion of the tank like previous Aspire tanks. It is very simple to fill up by removing the drip tip of the tank and twisting the top base to the arrow point to the juice droplet. Twist back the dial with the arrow to the image of the vapor after the tank has been filled up and the tank is ready to be used again. This new aspect makes filling the tank much quicker and cleaner without having to remove the tank from the mod.

Build

The Aspire Triton build quality is exceptional with a polish and metallic exterior among its own unique appearance. The tank has a sturdy feel to it with a stainless steel and Pyrex glass build. The steel cover around the Pyrex allows extra protection for the tank. The downside is the Pyrex cannot be replaced once it is broken. The tank can be easily disassembled for cleaning and the e-liquid capacity is 3.5mL compared to the 3.0ml on the Atlantis 2. Just like most Aspire tanks, the Triton does not have any issues of the tank leaking.

Final Thoughts

Conclusion on the positive performance of Aspire Triton is the ability to be used as a multi-purpose e-juice tank with its selections of different resistance coils and dual airflow control. Allowing users to get in tune with their vaping preference, the Triton brings sub ohm vaping to another level with superb performance based on the user. From straight lung vaping or mouth to lung vaping, the Triton allows vapers to do this at the fullest utilizing their mods and devices even with temperature control devices. The Triton now has temperature control coils available, giving the Triton more flexibility. Also, the top filling is a great step for vapers to easily fill up the tank with less hassle and mess. Overall, this build is great with a beautiful and sturdy design to the tank with a fully customizable vaping experience.
