Smoktech H-Priv 220W TC Review

Posted by Dex L on

Since its foundation in 2010, SMOK has fully dedicated itself to the making of best quality vaporizers and has since then garnered a high reputation in producing the best e-cigarettes and consumer satisfaction. SMOK has launched many models of vaporizers and E-Cigarettes till this date, and with every new design, the features are upgraded such as to reconstruct not only the vitality of vaping but also to maintain safety and quality. Their products are also designed in a fashionable way and can easily go with other vape accessories.

Now SMOK has come up with a new design all over again following the X-Cube II model but with better attributes and a smaller design. Their latest innovation H-Priv 220W TC has all the interesting features that keep it on par with the leading brands in vaporizer industry. It comes in a box design with temperature control chips and boasts of several high-end features while at the same time remaining in the same price niche as other brands.

Design of the H-Priv

SMOK H-Priv has more than just reliability to boast of. The vape mod comes in a very eye catching design which exudes an air of luxury. The whole body is made of zinc alloy case and comes in a variety of colors like copper, silver, white or black. The casing has a super smooth finish with rounded edges and a striking color contrast. This model is also slightly smaller than other dual-18650 vaporizers. The H-Priv does not make use of a firing button, but has it replaced by a rectangular slab that runs along the side of the box, its entire length. This slab usually comes in a contrasting color with the body. At the bottom of the slab is a removable battery cover in the same color. This uplifts the overall look of the box mod. This rectangular design makes it very easy to handle the box mod as it can be clutched with ease. Also, you will have an entire firing panel, which can be clasped easily rather than pressing a small firing button.

The H-Priv also comes with a display mounted on top of the rectangular body. The display screen is located between the connector of the atomizer and the firing panel. There are control buttons for up and down, and the size of the screen is also quite generous as compared to other vaporizers. With this control, you can adjust the duration for which the screen is to be illuminated before it shuts down and the brightness of the screen. This will help you elongate the battery life.

The location of the display screen on the top, however, may not appeal to everyone, particularly because the screen may get damaged if the tank happens to leak. Also, since the air intake slots are directly next to the screen, it does fog up the screen a bit. This might be a little annoying as you would have to wipe the screen to view the display continuously. The screen is also not very bright which can make it a little bit more inconvenient. However, the more important things like wattage and temperature are displayed in bigger sizes which make it not at all difficult to read them. The numbers for resistance, puff count, voltage and the intensity of ramp up are also large enough to be read with ease.

Functions, Interface, and Performance

You can put the vape into different modes of wattage and temperature like – max, min, hard, norm and soft. The temperature control works with all – nickel, titanium and stainless steel wires and the coil binds are user adjustable.

The vaporizer has not only the wattage mode and temp mode but also the power mode. In fact, there are 16 different power modes ranging from M1 to M16. Although it can be quite tricky to remember the settings of all these 16 modes, this might, however, come handy for the people who frequently change the tanks and builds. If you think that you might have inconvenienced with the different power modes, you can simply use the vaporizer in wattage mode. Now comes the battery. Although the battery comes with a beautiful touch-up, opening and closing the battery slot is not very easy, especially since the slot needs to be put back in with precise alignment and pressure. The major drawback with SMOK H-Priv however, is that it does not light up immediately. There is a firing delay, and so you would have to wait for some time before you start vaping.

Like everything else, the H-Priv comes with its own share of pros and cons which are listed below.
